  • Does a very good job of doing what it promises, helping you manage requirements. Good feature set for requirements capture, tracking and management.
  • Simple user interface will get everyone up and running fast.
  • Offers hosted version with 30 day free trial.
  • Inexpensive tool, $25 per month per user.

Cons:

  • Only offers hosted version. You can't install on your LAN.
  • Only does requirements management. Doesn't offer other features like project management or issue tracking.

  • More focused on product management than Accept Software.

  • No hosted version. This means it will take you a long time to set it up and running - needs IT involvement.
  • Too tied to Pragmatic Marketing's consulting philosophy, and could be inflexible.

  • Tightly integrated to development system from parent company, Telelogic DOORS.

Cons:

  • As the most expensive of the software reviewed here, only applicable to enterprise-wide rollouts in Fortune-500 type of companies.
  • No hosted version. This means you will need significant IT involvement to set it up and running. But this shouldn't be an issue in enterprise-wide rollouts.
